The siren's sound and the air is full of treason,
The crystal's clean from the house built underground,
They board up all the holes so you can't see them,
And the torch light shines when there's no-one else around.

The dogs run wild, there's a girl on every corner,
A mischief riot on the bench of every park,
And no-one here has the grace or care to warn you,
Of the things that lurk when the daylight turns to dark.

It's not to do with the flock you choose to fly for,
And it's not to do with the district that you're from,
It's all to do with the cause you choose to die for,
And the time you wait for the fateful hour to come.

A silent smash in the dead of night,
Alarm bells ring and we don't care why,
The broken glass on every floor,
Mad men breaking down the neighbour's door,
The fists and feet thrown for all to see,
A gunshot sound from a distant street,
But still it pays to stay around here,
If you can put aside your fears.

So wipe your feet, take the keys, enjoy your time here,
Don't get caught on the wrong side of the door.
